Funeral music

Having a solo guitar playing a favourite song or piece of music for a loved one at key moments during a funeral sevice can add a poignant touch to what can be a very difficult time.

More personal and immediate than a recording, the classical guitar's versatility means that any much loved song or piece of music can be adapted to suit the chosen mood of the occasion. 

I work with funeral directors, churches and with the family to provide this special personal service.

I play as family and friends arrive at the church, cremetorium or graveside; during quiet moments of reflection or prayer and at the lowering of the coffin. I can also play at the wake or gathering after the funeral.

I will prepare, at short notice, requests for specific music or songs ready to be played on the day. Alternatively I can play suitably appropriate pieces, either uplifting or sombre, from my own repertoire.
